primoscrib started out in business by selling translation services to companies. Because it takes responsibility for translation projects on behalf of its clients, primoscrib selects the translators to do the work and makes a commitment concerning prices and deadlines.

primoscrib very soon realised that this traditional approach to its business had to be supported by the creation of new translation tools relying on a knowledge base and translation-related resources.
 
In order to design these new tools, primoscrib began a research programme with the aim of developing a multilingual search engine.

primoscrib wishes to offer translators and Internet users an engine to search for the translation of a word or expression, with the notion of context being taken into consideration; this service will be available in several languages.

To demonstrate the feasibility and relevance of this type of search engine, a prototype is currently available on the Translation 2.0 .

Translation 2.0 is a powerful terminology search engine indexing over three thousand categories of terminology-rich website, which are mostly bilingual. Because of the qualitative content of these sites, the noise generated by a search is reduced to the absolute minimum, and the results are immediately relevant.
